Thank you for your interest in becoming a Resident Assistant at Iona University! Below you will find information about the Resident Assistant Recruitment Process for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Requirements

  • Current full-time student
  • Will have sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student status for 2023-2024
  • Minimum 2.75 cumulative G.P.A
  • In good judicial standing

Information Sessions

All candidates must attend one information session to complete the application.

Resident Assistant Selection Process Timeline

  • Friday, January 20, 2023: Submit your application form online with Creative Expression project attached.
  • Monday, January 30–Wednesday, February 8, 2023: Individual interviews will be scheduled for 30-minute blocks between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  • Monday, February 13–Friday, February 17, 2023: Second round interviews with Director Aaron Harman will be scheduled for 30-minute blocks between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, February 18, 2023: Group process interviews held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Friday, February 24, 2023: Decision letters will be emailed. Deadline to accept an offer is Wednesday, March 1, 2023.

Act as a liaison between the students, visitors/ guests, and staff. Take the opportunity to meet new people, gain work experience, and develop leadership skills.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the safety and security of all students in the residence halls;
  • Sorting and distributing mail and packages for our residential community;
  • Providing high quality customer service to students and guests.

Act as a liaison between the students, visitors/ guests, and staff. Office assistants provide high-quality customer service to all residents, parents, and all other customers, as well as support to the Office of Residential Life.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Clerical responsibilities
  • Assisting with projects
  • Other duties as assigned
