Approval of Minutes

Minutes from the meeting on 11/3/22 were approved via email on 11/10/22.

Guest: Registrar D.J. Arendt

The Registrar reported that room assignments are produced by Optimizer, a computer program.  Room assignments are prioritized for accessibility issues; then by department (example—business courses in LaPenta).  Enrollment capacity is then considered along with same room assignment for back-to-back courses.  Room change requests can be sent to the Registrar by email.

Responding to a question regarding the Final Exam schedule which, for the Fall semester, calls for the submission of grades the day after the last day of exams, the Registrar said that the Academic Calendar is approved by the President’s Cabinet not by the Registrar.

Responding to a question regarding the Degree Audit, the Registrar reported that NYSED ruled that 90 liberal arts credits are required for a B.A. degree.  Business students are required to complete 30 business credits.
