T. Moretti called the meeting to order at 3:35pm. Quorum was met.

Minutes to 3/25/21 meeting of the Faculty Senate were approved via e-mail on 4/19/21

Discussion Item: Middle States Update

The Middle States Steering Committee held a virtual Town Hall on 4/21 (video available); Middle States web content is still under construction; the chair of the Middle States Evaluation Team will visit the College virtually on 4/28

Discussion Item: Vaccinations

T. Moretti reported a conversation with S. Carey, where the president indicated: a) the College continues to develop partnerships with local health care facilities to vaccinate as many students and staff as possible; b) while the College is still open to requiring all students, staff and faculty to be vaccinated for the FA21 term, the legal team of CICU continues to investigate the legality of such a requirement

Discussion Item: First Meeting of the New Senate

The Senate discussed potential dates for the final meeting of the term, which is traditionally the first meeting of the incoming Senate; the date of 5/13 was proposed, and members are asked to review calendars to see if that date will work
