Dr. Nancy Manister has extensive professional experience in nursing, which includes the roles of staff nurse, clinical nurse educator, clinical nurse specialist, board-certified lactation consultant, certified childbirth educator, family nurse practitioner, nursing faculty, and program director. Her primary foci for teaching include role development and transition, theory, research and evidence-based practice, health assessment, pharmacology, health of women and families, and mentorship of DNP students.

Dr. Manister’s research interests include mentorship, role stress, emotional eating, obesity, and clergy health. She has presented at regional, national, and international conferences and has publications in peer-reviewed nursing journals.
