Office of Residential Life
Welcome to Iona College’s Office of Residential Life. Our goal is to provide a community to our Gael force that is supportive of students’ academic endeavors, complements classroom learning, and that promotes individual development. With a variety of living areas, students are able to feel like they are home away from home.
Consistent with Iona College’s mission and the core values of the Christian Brothers, the Office of Residential Life strives to foster a safe, inclusive, respectful, and engaging community that enhances the student learning experience. We are committed to providing students with opportunities for growth and development. By offering leadership and employment opportunities, as well as social events, that equip students with a greater sense of awareness and responsibility, we are committed to enhancing the on campus experience.
Here’s why our students choose to make Iona their home:
Live in a community that cares about you. No off-campus landlord can provide the kind of care and attention consistent with the values of Iona College and its dedicated staff.
Iona has well-maintained facilities with great amenities including cable television, wireless, internet and laundry facilities. Every year, Iona makes significant investments to improve the experience of its residential students.
Take advantage of special events, tailored services, and dedicated staff. Special residence hall programs, great presenters, and staff including resident assistants, student campus ministers, and master’s-level professionals serve each residence hall.
Enjoy 24/7 Security and Facilities response. Campus Safety staffs the residence halls, provide video monitoring, and circulates in a mobile unit around campus. Iona’s residence halls are hard-wired for fire safety and inspected each semester by the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Education to ensure student safety.
Live hassle-free! Don’t pay a realtor fee, struggle to find a safe rental, worry about roommates who won’t pay their share of the rent and utilities, find or move furniture, etc. Pay one fee each semester, enjoy a great room and food services, and you’re done!
