Frequently Asked Questions

The Office of Residential Life encourages you to meet as many new people as possible. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, gender orientation, nationality or culture when assigning roommates.

Incoming First Year students who have completed and submitted the Residence Hall Agreement are given access to the Roommate Search tool following the June Orientation sessions, with which you are able to request one roommate for the upcoming academic year.

Requests for additional roommates can be made through the Roommate Search tool, but our department only guarantees placement with your first confirmed roommate. Housing assignments are made manually for incoming first-year students and are typically sent out via email by late July or early August.

Incoming First Year students live in East Hall, Loftus Hall or Rice Hall.

Incoming Transfer students live in the Conese Hall, Rice Hall or Hales Hall.
