Work schedules vary depending upon department and position. Dependable service to students and the efficient operations of the University is made possible by assigning work schedules. Staff and administrators are expected to be at their workstation on time and engaged in their assigned tasks during the work period.
All staff and administrators working more than a six (6) hour shift will be provided a one (1) hour meal break. A meal break is non-paid time for non-exempt employees. Additional meal breaks will be provided to the extent required by applicable law. Meal breaks may not be used to shorten the scheduled workday. All meal periods must be arranged with employee’s supervisor.
The supervisor will advise staff and administrators of the scheduled work hours and meal breaks as well as any changes.
