The introductory period is provided to all new staff and administrators, generally during their first 90 days of employment.
Iona University utilizes a 90-day introductory period for newly hired staff and administrators. This period provides the new staff or administrator an opportunity to acclimate to their new position and provides the supervisor an opportunity to develop and assess the skills of the new staff or administrator. Staff and administrators can expect to have a 90-day review with their direct manager or supervisor to create goals and ensure future success within their respective role.
Internal transfers and promotions are also subject to an introductory period.
Completion of the introductory period does not alter the at-will nature of employment.
