Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning (OIEP) provides data analyses to support planning and decision-making at Iona College.
The responsibilities of OIEP include:
  • Providing data analyses, projections and research support to other units within the College
  • Supporting Enrollment Management and Student Success initiatives through the use of analytics
  • Assisting with survey design and analysis
  • Supporting assessment of student learning outcomes
  • Compliance reporting to the federal and state governments, regional and specialty accreditors, and associations
  • Responding to external surveys from publications

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning advocates and advances evidence-based decision-making to sustain the reputation, affordability and mission of Iona College. In collaboration with the many constituencies on campus, the office designs and implements research solutions to collect and disseminate reliable data, to provide informative analytical reports or data visualization tools, and to make actionable recommendations to decision-makers where warranted by the results. The on-going program of research includes strategic enrollment management, student progress to degree, strategic and operational planning projections, and the support of student learning outcomes assessment by faculty. (Adopted August 2013)
