Providing the Resources to Help Others Reach Their Humanitarian Goals

Service-Learning News, Service, Alumni Success

Natalie Bowman began her contributions and service to her community as a student. During her time at Iona, she participated in mission trips to the Dominican Republic and Scotland, as well as served as president for the Red Cross Club. After graduating from Iona, she volunteered in Scotland and Kenya, assisting local community organizations. When Natalie returned to the U.S., she started Partners for International Cooperation (PIC), a 501(c)3 organization, which provides a wide range of consulting services for individuals, community and grassroots groups, and large nonprofits, to help them reach their humanitarian goals. PIC is an all-volunteer organization that has directly funded a water project on Remba Island in Kenya, provided education scholarships, and incorporated local community-based groups so they can best meet the needs of the children and young adults they serve. Natalie and PIC are currently establishing a community center that will be used by local NGOs for their cultural and education activities.

Natalie has been able to use her Iona experiences to find her calling in life and help others all across the world.
