Dr. Jiyoung Choi teaches courses in neuroanatomy and physiology and in advanced speech sound disorders. Her research investigates speech intelligibility in children with dysarthria due to cerebral palsy, with a focus on leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), particularly automatic speech recognition (ASR) technology, to support clinical assessment and treatment. She is also interested in bilingual assessment and culturally responsive practices in speech-language pathology.
