Laurette Olson, Ph.D., OTR/L, FAOTA, is professor and program director of the developing Occupational Therapy program in the School of Arts & Science. She has over 30 years of experience as a practicing occupational therapist and has written and presented extensively about a number of topics related to child and adolescent occupational therapy practice. Dr. Olson serves as a member of the AOTA work group on School Mental Health, as well as the work group on Response to Intervention. In 2011, she was named a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association for her work addressing the mental health needs of children and their families.
