Dr. Adele K. Stanley, MSN, RN, FNP-BC, teaches pharmacology, health assessment and psychiatric nursing at Iona. She has also taught clinical, lecture and lab classes in associate and bachelorette nursing programs. Dr. Stanley is a board-certified family nurse practitioner in New York and Connecticut and her professional experience includes working as a psychiatric registered nurse with both adults and adolescents.

Dr. Stanley is currently researching the topic of mental health and electronic cigarette use among young adults, which was the focus of her dissertation. She has also performed research in the area of interprofessional education and in examining the nursing faculty shortage in New York State. In 2022, her article “Tracking the New York State faculty Shortage: Report on the Schools and Faculty Survey 2013 and 2017” was published in the Online Journal of American Nurses Association of New York.
