Youngbin Yoon, Ph.D.

Dr. Yoon holds a joint appointment lectureship in Iona’s Philosophy Department and Honors Program. He teaches a wide range of courses including ethics, aesthetics, philosophy of law, philosophy of race, and great books. His research interests are primarily in ethics and aesthetics. Prior to joining Iona, Dr. Yoon was a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated in 2025. He received the Dean's Award for Distinguished Teaching in 2024. He was also selected as a Marc Sanders Foundation Media Fellow the same year. Outside the university setting, Dr. Yoon enjoys reading and writing fiction, going for Sunday morning runs, playing a casual game of chess, and chatting with friends (or strangers!) over tea.
