Dr. Ivy Linton Stabell teaches children’s and young adult literature,  early American literature, writing, and courses in the Honors, Core, and Gaels Success programs. Her research focuses on nonfiction for children and young adults, especially children’s biographies and food writing by and for young people.  Her articles have appeared in Children’s Literature, The Lion and the Unicorn, and numerous scholarly book collections.  She is co-editor of New Directions in Thomas Paine Studies with Dr. Scott Cleary.  Since 2024, she has served as a Presidential Fellow in the Gabelli Center for Teaching and Learning, where she focuses on writing, process, and attention.
