Giuseppe D’Aloisio '19MA

Professor Giuseppe D’Aloisio teaches a variety of courses in Iona University’s Media & Communication Department. While his primary areas of expertise are digital media, sports media, and production, he also teaches Introduction to Media & Communication, a foundational course that welcomes students into the department. The course explores today’s evolving media landscape, career opportunities across the industry, and the history and developments that have shaped modern media. He also teaches courses in Iona’s graduate Sports Communication & Media program.

Outside of the classroom, D’Aloisio serves as Media Director for the Media & Communication Department and faculty adviser to Iona’s student-run radio station, WIUR. He is also the executive producer for the Iona University Podcasting Studio (IUPS) and oversees student content creators working with Iona Athletics, providing students with hands-on opportunities to develop professional experience in sports media and content production.

Prior to joining Iona University, D’Aloisio worked as a producer at CBS Sports Radio in New York City. During his time at CBS, he produced 16 hours of live national programming each weekend while also serving as an associate producer during the week. He worked with nationally recognized sports radio hosts from across the country, including Damon Amendolara, Nick Wright, Ken Carman, Doug Gottlieb, and many others.
