Anthony D. Meyers, Ph.D., is passionate about creating experiential learning environments where students apply entrepreneurial thinking to real-world challenges, develop innovative solutions, and build the confidence to transform ideas into meaningful ventures.

Anthony D. Meyers is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Hynes Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Iona University. His research examines how legitimacy shapes whose ideas are recognized, whose voices are heard, and which entrepreneurial ventures receive support. Bridging entrepreneurship with organizational behavior and organizational theory, he studies how organizations and institutions influence opportunity, innovation, and access to resources. His work seeks to understand how organizations and institutions can create conditions that expand opportunity, support innovation, and enable individuals and new ventures to thrive. Anthony's research has been published in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion: An International Journal and includes book chapters with Rowman & Littlefield and Palgrave Macmillan. His scholarship has been presented at leading academic conferences, including the Academy of Management and the American Sociological Association. During his doctoral studies, he received the Mills–Tanenbaum Research Excellence Award recognizing outstanding doctoral research and was inducted into Sigma Iota Epsilon, the national honor society for management. Before joining Iona, Anthony founded Leading ChangeMakers, Ltd., a management consulting firm that partners with nonprofit, public, civic, and cultural organizations on strategic planning, leadership development, and organizational change. He also participated in The New School's Impact Venture Lab, a social entrepreneurship accelerator that strengthened his approach to venture creation, design thinking, and innovation. These experiences continue to shape his teaching by connecting entrepreneurship theory with practical application and real-world venture creation. He has taught management at Baruch College's Zicklin School of Business and designed and facilitated leadership and innovation workshops for organizations across the country. Anthony is passionate about creating experiential learning environments where students apply entrepreneurial thinking to real-world challenges, develop innovative solutions, and build the confidence to transform ideas into meaningful ventures. Anthony earned his Ph.D. in Management & Entrepreneurship from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College (CUNY), where he specialized in Organizational Behavior.
