Council for Greek Governance

The Council for Greek Governance (CGG) provides leadership and guidance for the six sororities and four fraternities that make up the Greek Life community at Iona College.

CGG oversees discussion of important issues that impact Greek Life – such as recruitment, new member education and philanthropic outreach. The group also coordinates programming that enhances the campus experience for the entire student body and promotes unity within the community, including educational programs throughout the year, ranging from topics of mental health awareness and promoting a healthy lifestyle to use of networking in your career search.

CGG also leads several philanthropic campaigns to raise awareness or funds for important causes benefiting the greater community. Recent philanthropy events have ranged from clothing and book drives to walks supporting Autism Speaks and others.

Sororities: Delta Theta Beta, Gamma Lambda Rho, Lambda Theta Alpha, Phi Gamma Chi, Phi Sigma Sigma and Psi Kappa Theta

Fraternities: Alpha Phi Alpha, Delta Upsilon, Pi Kappa Phi and Zeta Kappa Chi
