Iona University Gaelic Society

The Iona University Gaelic Society works to celebrate, preserve, and promote Irish heritage and culture within the Iona University community. The society provides students with opportunities to explore Ireland’s rich history, traditions, language, music, and cultural heritage while connecting with others who share an appreciation for Ireland and its unique identity.

The Gaelic Society hosts a variety of events and activities throughout the year that celebrate Irish culture and heritage. Through cultural celebrations, social gatherings, educational programs and community events, members have the opportunity to learn about Irish history and traditions while experiencing the many aspects of Irish culture.

The society also works to preserve and share Irish heritage across campus by fostering an appreciation for Ireland's cultural traditions and encouraging students to learn about the history and experiences that have shaped Irish communities around the world.

The Iona University Gaelic Society welcomes students of all backgrounds, whether they have Irish heritage, are interested in exploring their Irish roots or simply have an appreciation for Irish culture and traditions!
