Accounting Club

The Accounting Club provides interested students with information regarding career development and professional certification. The club also acts as an avenue through which the students can network, participate in various social events, and meet other students with similar career objectives.
During club activity hour, the accounting students get together and participate in social activities and accounting-related topics of discussion. The goal of the Iona College Accounting Club is to provide each student with the proper tools such that they will be a sought-after entity in the professional environment. The Club tries to enhance student interest in the Accounting field, as well as assist students in the transition from academia to the workplace.

The Accounting Club is looking forward to participate in the following activities:

  • Inviting keynote speakers from Big Four accounting firms and other entities who are currently working in the field and obtaining real world experience.
  • Offering tutoring to students struggling with the subject matter.
  • Inviting the Geri Ripp Center for Career Development to speak with our members and offer internships and workshops that can potentially benefit students from different undergraduate levels.
  • On and off campus community service with not-for-profit organizations.
  • Sponsoring social events with other business clubs.
  • Discussing news and trends of the business industry with the members during meetings.
