Dr. Sunghee Lee teaches courses in general chemistry, special topics in biophysical chemistry, and senior seminar. Her research focuses on the chemistry and biophysics of soft materials, particularly lipid membranes and related interfaces, with emphasis on understanding cell membranes and how bioactive molecules modulate membrane structure and function. Through Project Symphony, her highly productive undergraduate research group, she works closely with students on interdisciplinary projects that integrate teaching and research and provide rich, mentored experiences in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific communication.
