Iona University Pep Band

Founded in 2015, the Iona Pep Band unites student musicians from diverse backgrounds to energize campus life and enhance the game-day experience. The band performs at all men’s and women’s home basketball games and appears at major spirit events including Homecoming and Maroon Madness.

Each March, members travel with the teams to the MAAC Tournament. In 2025, the Pep Band earned a prestigious invitation to perform in the Intercollegiate Pep Band All-Stars Showcase at Disney World, a testament to the ensemble’s talent and growing national recognition.

Open to all students who play an instrument and read music.

Practice Schedule

  • Location: LaPenta Student Union – McGrath Room

Pep Band Requirements

  • Must play an instrument
  • Know how to read music
  • Attend weekly practices
