Iona Players
The Iona Players theatre organization provides vast opportunities for you to develop and cultivate a passion for the performing arts while at Iona.
Events produced by the Iona Players range from main stage productions in the Murphy Auditorium to intimate experiences in our smaller campus venues. Productions range from classic Broadway shows like Grease and Bye, Bye Birdie to contemporary hits like The Addams Family and Next to Normal. Each show is under professional direction and is presented to the Iona community and the public.
Not to be upstaged by our popular musicals, the program also presents several non-ticketed special events throughout the year that include cabarets, improve shows, directorial projects, and one-act performances that are designed to keep our student performers, designers, and directors engaged all year long.
How to Join
Auditions for each production will be announced and open to all enrolled Iona students, regardless of major. Behind-the-scenes opportunities such as directing and stage managing are also available.

This year’s fall production is The Wizard of Oz. The Wizard of Oz is a timeless story of friendship, courage, and adventure. Featuring dazzling costumes, show-stopping music, and all your favorite characters, this classic tale will come to life on stage in a way you won’t want to miss. Step into Oz with us and experience the magic this fall!
