Matthew Grimaldi makes history as the first-ever head coach of the Women’s Club Flag Football team, bringing extensive experience and strong leadership to the newly established program. In addition to his role as Director of Club Sports, Grimaldi is a seasoned coach and former collegiate athlete, having competed in both football and lacrosse at St. John’s University.
His career includes impactful roles at institutions such as Mercyhurst University, Drexel University, Lehigh University, and the United States Sports Academy in Alabama. Before transitioning into athletic administration, Grimaldi coached multiple sports at the collegiate level, including football at East Stroudsburg University and basketball at Keystone College. While at Keystone, he took over as Head Women’s Basketball Coach midseason and led the team to a CSAC semifinal appearance.
With a deep understanding of the game, a passion for mentorship, and a commitment to cultivating a competitive and supportive team culture, Coach Grimaldi is well-positioned to guide the Women’s Club Flag Football program into an exciting new era.
