Iona Highlights
Honors Program
Our Honors Program is designed to meet the educational needs of the most highly motivated students at Iona. Open to students of any major, it offers a wide range of interdisciplinary courses and opportunities to engage in and present independent research. As a member of the Honors program, students receive 24 free tuition credits to be used over the course of four years during summer, winter or study abroad sessions. There's an Honors Program floor in one of our most desirable residence halls and Honors Program students receive numerous scholarship awards.
NSF Scholarships in STEM Program
We are proud to partner with the National Science Foundation to recruit, support and retain undergraduate students majoring in Biochemistry, Chemistry and Computer Science. The goal of NSF S-STEM Program – Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math is to increase the number of undergraduates on a successful path to pursue further education and careers in STEM. The award will support economically disadvantaged students with high academic aptitude through the Iona University Development of Excellence in Science through Intervention, Resilience, and Enrichment (DESIRE) Program.

Early Acceptance Programs
Our Early Acceptance Programs (EAP) let students secure spots in select graduate or professional school programs before they’ve even started college. We have EAPs for medical school, dental school, pharmacy school, law school and speech pathology. Partner institutions include Seton Hall Law School, Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, New York College of Podiatric Medicine, New York Chiropractic College, and University of St. Joseph School of Pharmacy. Students who apply will be notified when they receive their undergraduate admission decision.
Comprehensive Assistance Program
Our Comprehensive Assistance Program offers support for students who have had either an IEP or a 504 plan in high school, who are college ready, and who have demonstrated use of a learning center or resource room support. This includes students with a diagnosed learning disability, AD/HD, or diagnosed on the autism spectrum.
