The recently opened Kelly Center for Health Sciences spans three floors and features the most modern equipment, spaces and amenities for health care education. Notably, the entire top floor is dedicated to recreating a hospital setting, complete with simulation labs, exam rooms and training equipment on the cutting-edge of the industry.

Iona is widely known as a leader in preparing career-ready students. In 2021, Payscale rated Iona University in the top 14% of the best universities for a bachelor’s degree in its College Salary Report. Dining Hall Enhancements

Opening Spring 2025

Iona is in the process of launching an elevated on-campus dining experience.

This 20,000-square-foot renovation to the LaPenta Student Union will consist of a modern, open-plan concept for dining and a revamped lower-level featuring a student lounge as well as multipurpose rooms for student clubs and more.

Iona is On the Rise

Iona University continues to embrace opportunity to shape its future. Here are five ways Iona elevates the educational experience to better serve our students.

Iona has acquired a new 28-acre campus in nearby Bronxville, N.Y., nearly doubling our footprint. In addition to establishing a premier school of health sciences, Iona will also add new opportunities in the performing arts, varsity and club athletics and other extracurricular activities.

Iona is developing the NewYork-Presbyterian Iona School of Health Sciences. Supported by a $20 million gift, the NewYork-Presbyterian Iona School of Health Sciences is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Iona University, train the next generation of health care professionals and support the communities we serve.

Cumulatively, Iona holds over 80 MAAC championship trophies across multiple D1 sports. In 2023, Iona was one of four programs in the country that saw both its men's and women's basketball teams win their conference tournament.

Iona College is now Iona University

On July 1, 2022, Iona officially changed its status from College to University, reflecting the growth of its academic programs and the prestige of an Iona education.

In making this announcement, Iona University President Seamus Carey, Ph.D., said the change not only reflects the quality and prestige of an Iona education, but also that it supports the institution’s continued growth as it attracts top talent from across the globe.

With nearly 50 undergraduate programs and more than 40 graduate programs, Iona offers rigorous, quality academics across a wide range of disciplines.
