Professor Thomas Donnarumma has founded the theatre program and developed the full curricula in theatre for the Fine and Performing Arts Department. He also founded and directs the Iona College Theatre Ensemble. At Iona College, Donnarumma has produced and directed dramatic works that span all genres and eras. These include “Othello” by William Shakespeare, “A Doll's House” by Henrik Ibsen, “Buried Child” by Sam Shepard and “A View from the Bridge” by Arthur Miller. Outside of the Iona College community, he has been both a performer and a director in more than 85 productions in the New York area and throughout the country. He has performed with the Jean Cocteau Repertory Company, New Dramatists and The Irish Repertory Company. As a director, Professor Donnarumma has worked with The Township Theatre Group and Shakespeare Saturdays.

Dr. Hannah Park is a dance educator, dance advocate, artist, movement specialist, researcher, and administrator. Her current research interests include embodied pedagogy, dance and diversity education and curriculum development, dance and social justice, and community interaction through dance, particularly for the underserved population.

Professor Thomas Ruggio has been teaching and writing courses in Fine Art and Art History for more than 15 years on the college level. His research and teaching interests include the history and techniques of the great Italian old masters. In 2011, he founded the Studio Borgo art program in Lucca, Italy, for which he served as director and lead faculty. As an artist, Thomas Ruggio’s artwork has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the United States, Italy, Germany and Mexico, some of which is included in American and European public and private collections.

Dance Ensemble

On February 4, three members of the Iona Dance Ensemble will perform at the 2017 NYSDEA Winter Conference at New York University. Students, Atira Barber-Ellis, Marianna Sticca and Ashley Vera, will perform a refined version of a piece choreographed by Professor Hannah Park, titled "Intelligence Dream."
