Faculty Fellows
Iona University’s Faculty Fellows programs recognize faculty leaders who are committed to advancing teaching, learning, innovation, and student success. Through the Office of the Provost and the Gabelli Center for Teaching & Learning, Fellows collaborate to strengthen evidence-based pedagogy, authentic assessment, artificial intelligence, faculty development, and institutional initiatives that support excellence across the University.
Together, the Senior Presidential Fellows, Presidential Fellows, and Provost Fellows form a collaborative faculty leadership network. Each group contributes in distinct but complementary ways to the University’s strategic vision for teaching and learning.
How the Fellowships Work Together
While each fellowship has its own distinct purpose, the three programs are intentionally connected. Senior Presidential Fellows, Presidential Fellows, and Provost Fellows work together as part of a broader faculty leadership community committed to advancing teaching excellence at Iona.
Across the year, Fellows participate in regular meetings, attend Gabelli Center workshops and invited events, contribute to AI@Iona programming, and collaborate in faculty learning communities. They also share resources, lead discussions and workshops, and present their work through university-wide programming and the annual Teaching and Learning Showcase.
Together, these fellowships help translate emerging scholarship and institutional priorities into practical, meaningful, and sustained improvements in teaching and learning across Iona University.
